SUMMARY 

Oversee all aspects of a profit and service driven catering andevents sales department while personally prospecting, selling, planning andservicing corporate and social business. 
To uncover, prospect and sell group business, in accordance withthe objectives established in the Marketing Plan. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

-Supervisionand overall responsibility of the Events and Catering function includingmaintaining and monitoring the accuracy and effectiveness of all writtencommunication from Catering Sales Manager, Catering Sales Executive andCatering Sales Coordinator. These procedures include but are not limited to:Menu and Event Proposals, Contracts, Banquet Event Orders, Daily Events Report,and S&C Golden Input Standards.  
-Activelyprospect and solicit, develop, and maintain corporate catering and events accountsthrough telephone, personal sales calls, trade shows, and on-siteentertainment.  
-Finalizethe requirements of personally booked catering events while maximizing revenuepotential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written(Contract, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for thesuccess of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill reviewon completion of program or event.  
-Theability to monitor and identify current and future business trends to insureprofitable sales in periods of low and high demand. 
-Findsolutions to the inevitable challenges and glitches that arise while groups areon property and keep Planning Committee promptly and fully informed of allproblems or unusual matters so prompt corrective action can be taken whereappropriate.  
-Assistwith all inquiries within the sales, marketing and catering department,including assistance with high telephone volume and walk-in site inspections. 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
·        -Proficient in Mandarin andEnglish communication
·        -Thorough knowledge of alljobs in the accounting area
·        -Strong Mathematical andAnalytical skills
·        -Proficient computer useand report generating skills
·        -Commit to follow all localand corporate policies and procedures
·        -Similar workingenvironment is preferred
